11. Product Development & Feature Disclaimer

We are continually building and iterating on the Altruvia platform. Any references (on the Site, in demos, roadmap discussions, presentations, proposals, pricing pages, emails, or other collateral) to future, beta, experimental, or planned features, modules, integrations, AI capabilities, analytics, or outcomes (collectively, 'Planned Functionality') are forward‑looking and provided for general information only.

By accessing the Site, creating an account, or purchasing any plan you acknowledge and agree that: (a) Planned Functionality may be in various stages of research, design, development, limited beta, or evaluation; (b) we make no commitment, promise, timeline, service level, or guarantee that any Planned Functionality will be released, released in a particular form, or remain available; (c) priorities may shift and features may be modified, delayed, reprioritized, or cancelled without notice; and (d) you will not rely on the availability of any Planned Functionality in making purchasing or operational decisions unless expressly set out in a mutually executed written agreement signed by both parties.

We may, without liability, limit, suspend, deprecate, or remove existing features (including generally available or beta features) to maintain security, performance, legal compliance, user experience coherence, or strategic focus. Where feasible we may provide advance notice, but are not obligated to do so.

Forward‑looking statements (including potential efficiency gains, automation scope, or impact metrics) are inherently uncertain; actual results may differ. We disclaim liability for costs, damages, or lost opportunities arising from reliance on Planned Functionality or continued availability of any specific feature, except to the extent expressly required under an agreement signed by both parties.

Nothing in this section alters our data handling obligations under the Privacy Policy; removal or postponement of a feature does not reduce protections applied to your existing data.

12. Payment Processing

Payment processing services for organizations that connect a bank account to receive donations or other payments on Altruvia are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (https://stripe.com/connect-account/legal/full), which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (https://stripe.com/legal/ssa) (collectively, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these Terms or continuing to operate as an organization receiving payments on Altruvia, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time.

As a condition of Altruvia enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Altruvia accurate and complete information about you and your organization, and you authorize Altruvia to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.

13. Subscriptions, Usage and Data Export

These subscription commitments apply to the Altruvia service and take precedence over conflicting modification or termination provisions in these Terms. Automatic plan changes and related charges require your acceptance of this version of the Terms.

Active contacts: A contact counts when the record is neither deleted nor archived and the person has, within the last 24 months, made a gift, registered for an event, submitted a form, signed a petition or pledge, participated in a program, volunteered, or clicked a link in an email we sent. Gifts count by their gift date, not their import date. Email opens, email deliveries, staff notes or tasks, and importing a record do not count as engagement. Lapsed contacts remain on file without contact charges and may still receive email; those sends count against your plan's monthly campaign-email allowance.

Trial: Your 14-day free trial includes importing your data and a separate $5 AI allowance measured at provider cost. A card is required at signup. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you authorize us to charge the card on file for your selected subscription on day 15. If the trial does not convert to a paid subscription, the account becomes read-only, with free data export still available, and is deleted 30 days later. We send warnings before deletion.

Contact growth and plan changes: Donations, sign-ups, imports and manual entry continue when you exceed your plan's contact capacity. A 10% buffer covers up to 110% of that capacity. Above the buffer, we give at least 30 days' notice of the new plan and price. If your count still exceeds the buffer when the notice expires, you authorize us to move you to the smallest published plan that fits your active-contact count and charge the card on file. Monthly customers pay the new price from the next invoice. For annual customers, the charge is the difference between the plans' monthly prices, less the 15% annual discount, multiplied by the whole months remaining in the term; partial months are not charged. For example, an $80 monthly difference with seven whole months remaining costs $476. Above the published self-service range, we arrange a quote. We never move you to a lower plan automatically. Before renewal we tell you if a smaller plan fits your active-contact count; you may schedule that change to take effect at renewal and cancel it at any time before then.

Price lock: The price of your selected plan is fixed for your monthly or annual subscription term. We do not increase that plan's price during the term. A notified change to a different plan because your active-contact count has grown is governed by the preceding paragraph. We notify you before any plan change; any increase to the price of the same plan applies only at renewal.

Platform fee: We charge 1% on online gifts, event tickets and shop sales, in addition to Stripe's processing fees paid by the organization directly to Stripe. We charge no platform fee on transactions recorded manually. The platform fee is capped at $200 per gift. A full refund of a gift includes a refund of its platform fee; a partial refund includes the same proportion of the original platform fee.

AI allowance and top-ups: Each plan includes an organization-wide allowance measured at AI providers' charges without markup, displayed as a percentage with a usage breakdown. All AI work counts, including document indexing and search; indexing during your organization's first 30 days is free. When the available allowance is exhausted, chat pauses until allowance becomes available again or you buy a top-up. Background source ingestion may continue at our expense, subject to a per-cycle limit of 25% of the plan's included allowance; this additional processing is not available to guest demos. Top-ups of $10, $25 or $50 are sold at cost, expire 12 months after purchase, and are never purchased automatically. To refund an unused top-up, contact support. A partial refund removes the same proportion of the top-up's remaining credits.

Data export and cancellation: You may export your organization's data free of charge at any time. If a renewal payment fails, you keep full access while the payment is retried and we notify you of each failed attempt; the account becomes read-only only when the retries are exhausted or the subscription is cancelled. After cancellation takes effect, the account becomes read-only and export remains free. We do not automatically delete the data of a customer who has paid: we delete it when you ask us to, or after giving you at least 30 days' written notice. An unconverted trial has the separate 30-day read-only export period stated above, and we send warnings before that deletion. These export rights survive cancellation until the data is deleted.
